OASIS Lecture: Women in Aztec Society June 11
Date and Time: Thursday, June 11 4:00-5:00pm Join us for an OASIS lecture with SDSU lecturer emerita Maria Butler covering the roles and everyday life of Mesoamerican women and how they lived before the European conquest, particularly in the Valley of Mexico before 1492. OASIS Lecture: Juneteenth June 23
Date and Time: Tuesday, June 23 5:30-6:30pm Dr. Ricardo Crespo, Chair of the Department of Political Economy at Grossmont College, will explore the origins of Juneteenth, America’s newest holiday. Juneteenth commemorates the day on which enslaved people of African descent in Texas learned of the Emancipation Proclamation and the end to slavery. Rose Week Craft on April 22 - Make Floral Bookmarks
