Dr. Ricardo Crespo, Chair of the Department of Political Economy at Grossmont College, will explore the origins of Juneteenth, America’s newest holiday. Juneteenth commemorates the day on which enslaved people of African descent learned of the Emancipation Proclamation and the end to slavery.
