From gong ensembles to improvisatory singing, this talk focuses on music from diverse communities of practice. Divided between land and sea, Southeast Asian music reflects the landscape and belief systems of the people. Funded by the Friends through a grant from the Del Mar Foundation.

Date and Time: July 14 5:30-6:30pm Enjoy a concert featuring talented musician Dlan Dary, who plays more than eight instruments—including the buzuq, bağlama, oud, darbuka, and tanbūra. He sings in Kurdish, Arabic, and English. This concert is funded by the Friends and the Del Mar Foundation.

Thanks to a $10,000 grant from the Del Mar Foundation, the Friends will support a year of special programming celebrating the Library's 30th anniversary in its historic location.
