The Friends of the Del Mar Library is an all-volunteer community organization that supports the activities and programs at the Del Mar Library, a branch of the San Diego County Library. See our mission, Board members and history of the branch and group.
In January 2021, over 300,000 digital books, videos, audiobooks and magazines were downloaded or viewed in the County Library's Overdrive collection, ranking us 11th of all libraries worldwide in customer usage of digital media.
Built in 1914 as a church, today this historic Craftsman building in a popular seaside town is home to the Del Mar Library. Visitors enjoy a warm and welcoming spot to read, and attend our many programs including live music, yoga, Bridge, and book clubs.
